Yaw Boahen - Board Chairman

Yaw Boahen is an accomplished financial executive with an MBA and nearly three decades of experience in Ghana’s financial-services industry. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served in senior leadership and advisory positions, building a strong reputation for strategic leadership, prudent financial management and sound corporate governance.

As Board Chairman of Nhyira Co-operative Credit Union, he provides strategic direction and effective oversight. He is committed to ensuring that the Credit Union operates with integrity, accountability and a clear focus on sustainable growth and the financial well-being of its members.

Portia Sarpong-Board Secretary

Portia Sarpong is an accomplished legal practitioner with extensive experience in corporate governance, company law and regulatory compliance.

As Board Secretary, she advises the Board on legal and governance matters, supports compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and ensures that Board decisions and records are properly documented. Her work helps Nhyira Co-operative Credit Union maintain high standards of transparency, accountability and ethical leadership.

Kwame Obed, MBA -Managing Director and Board Member

Kwame Obed is a Chartered Banker with an MBA and nearly fifteen years of experience in banking and financial services. He brings extensive knowledge of institutional development, financial management, business strategy and customer service to Nhyira Co-operative Credit Union.

As Managing Director and a member of the Board, he provides leadership for the Credit Union’s operations and growth. His priorities include innovation, digital financial services, operational excellence, responsible lending and improving the overall experience of members.

Peter Ebule - Board Member

Peter Ebule is a respected entrepreneur with extensive experience in property development and the haulage industry. His practical business knowledge and commercial experience enable him to contribute valuable perspectives to the governance and strategic development of Nhyira Co-operative Credit Union.

As a Board Member, he provides insight into business development, infrastructure financing, investment opportunities and support for entrepreneurs and small businesses within the communities served by the Credit Union.

Emmanuel Oduro -Board Member

Emmanuel Oduro is an experienced banking professional with more than twenty years of expertise in banking operations, customer service, credit administration and financial management.

As a Board Member, he contributes valuable industry knowledge to the Credit Union’s strategic planning, risk management and operational development. His experience supports Nhyira Co-operative Credit Union’s commitment to responsible financial services, excellent member care and sustainable institutional growth.
